We will use personal information you provide to process and record your donation and to send you an official acknowledgment. We also will use it to send you news from the University, including accomplishments of students, faculty, and alumni in our Achievements eZine, and to occasionally request your further support. You may unsubscribe from Achievements by replying from any issue.
We will not give or sell your personal information to any other organization.
We will honor your request for no emails, no informational communications, no solicitations by mail, or no solicitations by phone. Simply put your requests in the comments area as you complete the donation form. Donors are listed in and receive our annual University Report. If you wish to have your name excluded, please add that to the comment field.
The U.S. Internal Revenue Service requires us to keep your records for ten years. We keep them longer in order to have our donors’ complete donation history. Our records are kept in a secure database on a private network in rooms that are locked when not occupied by authorized personnel. Access to records is available only to University personnel who need the information for their assigned work.
Credit card numbers from online donations are kept only on online servers of Authorize.net, our charging service. We have access only to the last four digits. These digits are included in donation records in case we need to communicate with you about a charge.
