The goal of this study is to test whether brain-to-brain coherence in people with different levels of social entanglement may be a metric to assess field effects of consciousness underlying the Maharishi Effect.

Practically, we will compare the level of brain-to-brain coherence during Transcendental Meditation practice in pairs of people with three different levels of shared experiences: 1) couples (maximum shared experiences), 2) good friends (medium level of shared experiences), and 3) strangers (minimum shared experiences) (30 pairs total). We predict that brain-to-brain coherence will be higher in the couples, medium in the good friends, and lower in strangers (minimal reduced shared experience.

Thank you so much for your invaluable support.
