Cody Olivas is a freelance filmmaker and musician working extensively in music videos, documentaries, short films, live performances, seminars, and commercials. He is also a music producer and recorder, and has worked on sound post production for television.

He earned his MA in Film from Maharishi University of Management.

Amine Kouider is an award-winning filmmaker and founding member of David Lynch Foundation Television. He has worked as the producer, director, director of photography, and editor on projects around the world, including subjects such as high-security prisons, street children in Colombia, homeless men in New York City, refugees in Uganda, teenage prostitutes in Los Angeles, Buddhist nuns in Thailand, and Pandits in India. Amine graduated from the inaugural David Lynch MA in Film in 2014. His current projects include the feature-length documentary M’ma Hasna – la Rockeuse du Desert, and a surrealist narrative short film, The Land of Nothing.

Cullen Thomas

  • Cullen Thomas has taught at the Maharishi University of Management for three years

 

Cullen Thomas worked as a producer for David Lynch Foundation Television, where he helped produce several documentaries, including Saving the Disposable Ones and Paul McCartney at Radio City. He has also worked on a variety of feature film productions for several production houses.

He recently wrote and directed the feature-length film The Vindication of Ronald Clay: Other Stories for a Rainy Day, which is currently winning multiple awards at film festivals.

Gabriel Romero

Gabriel Romero has worked as a graphic designer, product development manager, and marketing creative manager for a variety of publishing companies for the past 10 years. He has extensive experience developing effective marketing campaigns and producing visual communication designs for marketing teams. His designs have included media kits, trade show booths, display ads, websites, and promotional collateral materials. Gabriel also works as a professional photographer.

Susan Romero

  • Susan Romero has taught at the Maharishi University of Management for four years

 

Susan Romero has over 18 years of visual communications experience with an emphasis in graphic design. She has won multiple design awards for her magazine work including three Virginia Press Association awards in Design and Presentation.

She was an art director for a weekly magazine in Virginia for many years, and also lead designer for several magazines in the Washington D.C. area and Melbourne, Australia. She’s taught visual communications at two colleges in Virginia prior to coming to MUM, and also ESL and art studies in Tokyo, Japan.

When not teaching she designs multimedia projects for her company MC Squared Media & Design. Her work takes on many forms including interactive design, web, print and green design. Sustainable design has always been a big passion for her and is often incorporated into her work. She strives to live and work with conscientious choices that create balance in her every day environment.
